| Packages Our packages allow you to relax and enjoy your holiday from the minute you arrive here in France. They include:
CyclingThe Haute Pyrenees and the neighbouring Gers provides some of the most beautiful and breathtaking cycling in France, in my opinion. Whether you want to tackle the Cols and climbs of the Tour de France, train for the Etape or take in the scenery and culture of France – sampling some of the local cuisine along your route – this is the ideal package for you. Examples of your cycling routes: Castlenau Magnoac Loop - Moderate – 45km Taking in the gentle rolling hills to Castlenau Magnoac, where you can stop for lunch at the Hotel du Pont (12 euros approx), returning via Trie-sur-Baise – a great place to have a coffee before reaching Bonnefont. Bassouses and Montesquiou – Moderate to hard – 100km A beautiful cycle through the countryside, with a few hills, that take you to your first stop – Montesquiou. Take a coffee here and enjoy the views from this hilltop village. Then start on the next part of your journey, approx 40 mins, over some rolling hills to Bassouses. We can pre-book your lunch table at the pretty restaurant ‘Café de Sport’ before you return home via the winding ridge to Meilan – then onto Trie and Bonnefont. This is my favourite Sunday ride. Col d’Aspin – Hard – 120km From here you climb up to the Lannemezan plateau and continue through villages until you reach the small ancient town of Arreau. A good place for a coffee stop. You will then make your 18km ascent to the Col d’Aspin, where you will be rewarded at the top with outstanding views of the Pyrenees. It’s 11km down to Payolle, where you could have lunch or, if you prefer, you could continue to Bagneres de Bigorre for a wider choice of restaurant. You will return home via Tournay and Burg where you will have plenty of time to take in the beautiful scenery along the route home. Also included:
75 euros per person per night, based on 2 persons sharing a room (minimum 2 nights) Golf This area is fortunate enough to have several superb, challenging golf courses and because our climate is good for golf most of the year, playing in pleasant conditions on well tended greens, is quite attractive! Another huge benefit of course, is that they are generally very quiet – by English standards. Some of our golf courses are as follows: Chateau Pallanne www.chateaugolfdepallanne.fr This is one of my favourite courses with its challenging long holes and plenty of water to negotiate. Lannemezan Golf Course With it’s narrow tree lined fairways, this reminds me very much of many of the courses I played in the UK. Accuracy is quite important here! Bagneres de Bigorre www.golf-bigorre.fr A beautiful course with spectacular views of the mountains – do take a look at their photo gallery. Also included:
